Pelosi Announces Additional Committee Assignments for 117th Congress

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Steering Committee has nominated incoming Freshmen and returning Members for appointments to the House Education and Labor Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Judiciary Committee, Natural Resources Committee and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.  The nominations will now go to the full Democratic Caucus for approval.

The Steering Committee approved the following new Committee members:

  • Congresswoman-elect Teresa Leger Fernandez of New Mexico
  • Congresswoman-elect Kathy Manning of North Carolina
  • Congressman-elect Frank Mrvan of Indiana

Foreign Affairs

  • Congresswoman-elect Sara Jacobs of California
  • Congressman Andy Kim of New Jersey

Judiciary

  • Congresswoman-elect Cori Bush of Missouri
  • Congressman-elect Mondaire Jones of New York
  • Congresswoman-elect Deborah Ross of North Carolina

Natural Resources

  • Congresswoman-elect Teresa Leger Fernandez of New Mexico
