Classic Game this Saturday Night from the BBT
Re-live this classic game from the 2015-16 season, when the Devils were still playing their games out of the BBT.
Cardiff Devils made history as they won their first ever play-off title in Elite League history and first since the old Super League era in 1999.
After a scoreless opening period, the Devils finally broke the deadlock on the powerplay at 24:53 when Matt Pope rifled a shot in from the blueline that found its way through traffic and past Ervins Mustukovs to make it 1-0.
The Devils doubled their lead at 38:41 when Andrew Hotham walked out from the corner and beat Mustukovs to send the Devils into the 2nd intermission up 2-0.
The Steelers pulled a goal back at 46:55 when Eric Neiley blasted the puck past Ben Bowns to make it 2-1. The Devils took a late penalty with less than 2 minutes to play, but with the goalie pulled for Sheffield, Jake Morissette scored into the empty net to seal the win and end a 19 year wait for a playoff championship.
