A look at Louisiana candidates signed up for March election

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The sign-up period for the March 20 election ended Friday. The ballot includes two special elections for U.S. House seats and a special election for a state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education seat. The candidates who qualified are:

Chelsea Ardoin, R-New Orleans; Belden “Noonie Man” Batiste, independent-New Orleans; Claston Bernard, R-Gonzales; Troy Carter, D-New Orleans; Karen Carter Peterson, D-New Orleans; Gary Chambers Jr., D-Baton Rouge; Harold John, D-New Orleans; J. Christopher Johnson, D-Gretna; Brandon Jolicoeur, no party-New Orleans; Lloyd M.
