Announcing Oracle VM Release 3.4.4

Now available - Oracle VM Release 3.4.4! 

Oracle VM is engineered for open cloud infrastructure. It delivers leading performance, scalability and reliability for enterprise SaaS and PaaS workloads as well as traditional enterprise applications. 

What's New?

Oracle VM Release 3.4.4 offers updated versions of all components, delivering security updates and cumulative bug fixes since the previous 3.4.3 release. The notable enhancements with this release are:

  1. Support for the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 4 (UEK R4) and updates to other Server packages
  2. Security updates for Manager components and Server packages
  3. Updated Xen hypervisor for improved throughput and IOPS performance

Oracle VM Supported Upgrade Path

Oracle VM customers can easily upgrade to Oracle VM 3.4.4 from 3.4.x and 3.3.x releases. The steps required to complete the solution upgrade from these releases and the earlier 3.2.x release are covered in the Oracle VM Installation and Upgrade Guide.

Oracle VM Product Support 

Oracle VM 3.4.4 replaces the previous 3.4.3 release on My Oracle Support. Oracle will continue to support all of the 3.x releases according to the Oracle VM Lifetime Support Policy.

Hardware and Application Support with Oracle VM

All hardware (server and storage) certifications already completed with Oracle VM 3.4.3 are also applicable to Oracle VM 3.4.4.

Oracle Products and 3rd party applications are supported on Oracle VM if they are supported on one of the guest Operating Systems noted in the Oracle VM Release Note.
