The major work entailsthe replacement of the roadway deck and supporting stringers, replacement of themedian, replacement of pedestrian fence, rehabilitation of the mechanical operatingsystems, complete replacement of the electrical operating systems includingreplacement of the submarine cables with droop cables, rehabilitation of the ControlHouse, the two Machinery Houses, Gatemans House and the two GatemansShelters. Work also includes localize structural repairs along with the addition ofplatforms and ladders.
