    i don’t understand how you can read stories like this and still find yourself unwilling to see how abolition is quite literally our only option

    Joe Ligon was released from prison today. He has been there since he was 15 years old. Falsely convicted in 1953. My 70 year old father was 3 years old. Eisenhower had just become president. 68 years. Today's his first day out of prison since the Jim Crow era. God damn America

    Just goes to show that if you work hard and are a privately educated graduate from Oxford who went on to marry the daughter of a billionaire, you too can go on to Nando’s thousands of people to death

    Growing up I never thought I would be in this job (mainly because I wanted to be a Jedi). I'm honoured that on this day last year the PM asked me to serve as Chancellor. It's been incredibly tough but thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.

    Not talking about any one specific story here, but it's important to remember that when one person comes forward with an abuse story and a ton of other people follow suite, it's generally not because it's a dogpile. It's because people were suffering in silence before that.

    The problem with this is it's actually not doing what it intends to, which is ensure people get the correct care. This is because healthcare is not as simple as assigned sex at birth. My needs are not the same as a man's needs, nor exactly the same as a cis woman's.

    I’ve just been shown this. It’s a screen confronting users of a new online alternative to calling NHS 111. Has anyone else seen this? This needs investigation and explanations because it certainly isn’t proportionate to demand that people out themselves just to find a dentist.
