The endorsements for NYC mayoral candidates
New York City Democrats will have to make a choice in the June 2021 primary for mayor – but some prominent New Yorkers and organizations have already made their pick, issuing public endorsements of candidates in the race.
Endorsements signal to voters a candidate’s ideological positioning and demonstrate the breadth, depth and nature of their support. A particularly popular endorser can help to enthuse and mobilize voters.
We scoured press releases, social media and candidates’ websites to compile a list of the most current endorsements, as of Jan. 31, 2021.
