Third Eye Blind to Headline Spring Concert at Holy Cross

Contemporary rock band Third Eye Blind will headline the 2016 Spring Concert at the College of the Holy Cross on May 7 at 4:30 p.m. on Freshman Field, located between the football stadium and the softball field.

Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Third Eye Blind made their debut in 1997 with the release of their self-titled album. The band quickly reached multiplatinum success, selling over six million copies of the album that featured some of the most popular songs of the late 90s, including “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Graduate,” “How’s It Going To Be”, “Losing A Whole Year” and “Jumper.” In 1999, Third Eye Blind released the highly anticipated album “Blue,” featuring the hit “Never Let you Go.” The band has sold approximately 12 million records worldwide, and is currently on tour promoting their fifth studio album, “Dopamine.”

Singer-songwriter JoJo will open the concert. Originally from Foxborough, Mass., she was the youngest solo artist to have a number-one single on the pop charts, which she achieved at 13 years old with her debut single “Leave (Get Out).”

Tickets will be sold on the first floor of the Hogan Campus Center April 18-29. Tickets are $20 for Holy Cross students with an ID (limit 2 per student), $20 for Holy Cross faculty and staff, and $30 for students in the Colleges of the Worcester Consortium.

Previous headlining acts for the annual Spring Concert, sponsored by the Campus Activities Board (CAB), have included Jessie J, Nelly, J. Cole, Drake, Jason Mraz, Lupe Fiasco and Guster.
