Service Changes Beginning Sunday, June 22

This June, AC Transit is introducing a series of changes that will improve service throughout the District. Highlights of the improvements are:
- In order to improve late running and bunched buses on the most troubled lines, additional schedule time is being added on lines 1, 1R, 57, 72, 72M, and 72R.
- Route changes in Central Fremont and western Newark will simplify routing and reduce time-consuming turns.
- Line 200 on weekends, and Line 275 on weekdays, have additional service added in the evenings.

200 | One additional trip added each way on weekends, leaving both Fremont and Union City BART at 8:00 p.m. |
212 | Between Fremont BART and the intersection of Fremont Blvd. & Stevenson Blvd., Line 212 will travel via Paseo Padre Parkway and Grimmer Blvd. (Use Line 216 for areas along Stevenson Blvd. Use Line 210 for areas along Fremont Blvd.) |
215 | One trip, leaving Fremont BART at 8:15 p.m., will no longer operate. |
216 | Between Fremont BART and the intersection of Fremont Blvd. & Stevenson Blvd., Line 216 will travel via Civic Center Drive and Stevenson Blvd. (For areas along Mowry Avenue, use Line 200. For areas along Fremont Blvd., use line 210.) |
239 | The south end of Line 239 will return to Milpitas Blvd. at Dixon Landing Road. Line 239 will no longer serve Kato Road or Milmont Drive. |
275 | The loop in western Newark will be reversed, so all buses head straight through the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Sycamore Street. Buses heading toward Union City BART will travel from Haley Street via Sycamore Street, Carter Avenue, Filbert Street, and Willow Street before continuing on Thornton Avenue to Fremont Blvd. and Union City BART. Buses heading toward Four Corners (Lido Faire) will travel from Fremont Blvd. via Thornton Avenue, Willow Street, Filbert Street and Carter Avenue before continuing on Sycamore Street to Haley Street and Four Corners.One additional trip will be added, leaving Union City BART at 7:38 p.m. |
E | Additional evening service added in the East Bay only, with several trips beginning at Caldecott Lane and ending at Claremont Avenue & Hudson Street.Some passengers have had trouble crossing Tunnel Road to reach stops on the other side. Passengers to San Francisco who wish to board on the south side of Tunnel Road can board the eastbound bus and continue after it turns around at Caldecott Lane. Passengers returning from San Francisco can continue on the bus after it turns around at Caldecott Lane and leave the bus on the north side of Tunnel Road. |
S | The trip leaving San Francisco at 6:15 p.m. will now leave 15 minutes later, at 6:30 p.m. |
U | The loop in the Stanford area has been reversed. Buses will stop first at the Stanford Oval before continuing on to Stanford Shopping Center. |
Other | Minor schedule adjustments made to lines 232 and B. |
