Android Honeycomb Ported to the Nexus One!
It’s only been weeks since the official announcement of Honeycomb, the latest edition of Android, and we’ve already seen developers here at XDA manage to run it on existing devices. However, its recent port to Google’s Nexus One is probably the most interesting of all, as this is arguably the most popular device that the tablet-oriented operating system has been shown to work on.
With the help of other developer, XDA member
bypass23 has used the Honeycomb SDK to compile a booting ROM for his phone. Of course, with development at such an early stage, you should not expect much (if anything) to be working if you do choose to flash his work. Nonetheless, it is very interesting to see how quickly Honeycomb has been ported for such a mainstream device, and it can only mean good things for the future.
