Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) puts her foot in it in Emmerdale where Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) is concerned, and conflict ensues as a result.

Viewers will know that Vinny (Bradley Johnson) has something of a soft spot for Liv — something he’s revealed on various occasions thus far, with the lockdown instalment being the first to spring to mind.

With the young man’s feelings for Liv very much known, Mandy is keen to do some match-making.

What could possibly go wrong?

A lot, apparently, as Mandy gets her wires crossed in regards to Liv’s asexuality.

Afterwards, Liv makes a swift exit, and Vinny — mortified — is forced to explain to Mandy what asexuality means.

Mandy is horrified and embarrassed as a result, and thus Vinny wastes little time in tracking down Liv and apologising on her behalf.

Liv accepts the apology.

At another point during the week, she agrees to meet with Vinny, but will the young man be held up?

Later, she discovers a gift on her doorstep and is pleasantly surprised.

Did Vinny leave the gift?
