Household Budget Survey
The Bureau of Statistics (BoS) has completed its Household Budget and Living Condition Survey in all ten (10) administrative regions of Guyana. This is a comprehensive survey which combines the collection of household income and expenditure, with living condition of households.

Guyana Labour Force Survey
The Bureau of Statistics (BoS) received financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and technical support from Sistemas Integrales Ltd and the International Labour Organization (ILO) to make this survey a reality, since prior to July 2017, there has not been such a survey in Guyana.

2018 Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS6)
The Bureau of Statisics in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has undertaken to conduct the Guyana Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2018 (MICS6).

Demography, Social & Vital Statistics
The Demography component of this subject area refers to collection, compilation and tabulation of demographic data on the characteristics of the population, namely size, age structure, ethnic and religious compositions, etc. generated from censuses and surveys.
Vital Statistics constitutes the collection of data on vital events as well as the characteristics of those events to produce vital statistics. The Social Statistics section speaks to the gathering and compilation of social data on the Guyanese society sourced from administrative data providers.
External Trade
This is the collection, extraction and compilation of all merchandise trade data (trade in goods) from various sources to produce and disseminate merchandise trade statistics of the economy, of which the two main types are the quantity and value of exports and imports.
Hydrometeorological
This section disseminates information on average rainfall, hours of bright sunshine, maximum and minimum temperate as well as relative humidity. This information is collected from the various Meteorological Stations situated on the coastland of Guyana.
Labour, Social Security and Transport
Information in this section is captured from three (3) government entities. The labour component refers to employment in the public sector. The social security component is the number of pensioners, and the transportation refers to the registration of new motor vehicles annually by the Guyana Revenue Authority.
National Accounts and Production
National Accounts is an accounting framework which presents the operation of the nation’s economy in much the same ways business accounts describe the operation of an enterprise. Based on a set of internationally agreed concepts, definitions, and classifications and accounting rules. The main building blocks in the system of national accounts are classifications. One such classification used is the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC. REV.4).
Price Indices
Consumer Price Indices (CPI) are measured on the basis of changes in the monthly cost of a fixed basket of goods and services. Prices are recorded at the retail level. The items which make up the baskets used by the Bureau of Statistics were selected after the completion of a Household Budget Survey (HBS) in 2006.
The Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, and Bank of Guyana, has adopted the Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS).
This system is being promoted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and will be used for the dissemination of Guyana’s vital macroeconomic data, through the National Summary Data Page (NSDP).
Data linked from this Page correspond to data described in the International Monetary Fund’s Dissemination Standards Bulletin Board (DSBB).
The Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the OECD-Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21), on 16th April 2018, launched the Guyana National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS).
