Jay Narayan Vyas is
Engineer by training. He is Fellow of Institution of
Engineers and holds Masters Degree in Civil
Engineering from IIT, Mumbai. He also holds
post-graduate qualifications in Management and a
degree in Law.
Shri
Vyas carries with him an experience working in senior
bureaucratic positions for around two decades and he
is a senior Public Life Functionary for almost the
same time. In his distinguished career, he has held
various positions, important amongst them include,
Managing Director, Industrial Extension Bureau,
Chairman, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation and
Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam as well as Minister
in-charge of diverse portfolios like Food & Civil
Supplies, Narmada & Major Irrigation Projects and
Health & Family Welfare, Tourism, Devsthan Pilgrimage
Development, NRG, NGOs etc.
Shri Maheswar Sahu

Shri
Sahu joined Indian Administrative Service in 1980.
After working in various field positions &
Corporations for more than 13 years, he worked more
than 5 years in Government of India, in the ministry
of Industry dealing with various Policy related
issues. He handled the work of Earth-Quake
Reconstruction and also worked as Industries
Commissioner for a period of about 3 years. After a
brief stint in the Ministry of Environment & Forest as
Joint secretary, he took up an UN assignment as
Director of an International Technology Centre. He
worked as Joint secretary in Department of Telecom,
Government of India for about 4 years. Before taking
over his current assignment as Principal Secretary
(Industries & Mines), Government of Gujarat, he worked
as Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Gujarat
Industrial Development Corporation, Gandhinagar.
Dr. S. Eswara Reddy

Dr. S.
Eswara Reddy has obtained Masters Degree in Pharmacy
from College of Pharmaceuticals Sciences Manipal in
1994 and Ph.D from J.N.T.U, Hyderabad in 2009. He has
experience in manufacturing of pharmaceuticals,
academic and in Regulations.
He
started his carrier as a Drugs Inspector in CDSCO,
West Zone, Mumbai in 1998 and has good experience in
GMP, GCP and GLP audits and promoted as a Assistant
Drugs Controller of India in 2009.
He
participated in many national and international
seminars/workshops/meetings on various areas of Drugs
regulations and undergone training from USFDA, KFDA,
South Korea and WHO, Geneva.
He was
invited to make presentations at various seminars and
workshops. He got Best Drugs Inspector award in 2005
and Distinguished Alumni Award from Manipal Academy of
Higher Education, Manipal. Dr.Reddy has been awarded
with appreciation letters from his superiors for
effective implementation of Drug Regulations. He also
published articles in various journals.
At
present Dr. Reddy is working as a Deputy Drugs
Controller of India at CDSCO HQs, New Delhi to assist
DCGI in implementation of various provisions of Drugs
And Cosmetics Act and Rules including Import
Registration of Medical Devices and Diagnostic Kits
and other activities.
Dr. Sujoy K. Guha

Dr. Sujoy
K. Guha, Chair Professor at the School of Medical
Science, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and
at the National Institute of Medical Science and
Technology, Kharagpur, India graduated in 1961 with
B.Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from IIT,
Kharagpur; followed by Master’s degree in Electrical
Engineering
from IIT and University of Illinois, USA; a PhD in
Medical Physiology from St. Louis University, USA and
Medical degree with license
to practice from Delhi University and Medical Council
of India. He has led scientific research which brings
about a synthesis of engineering and biomedical
sciences and the setting up of academic programs at
the national and international levels.
His work has given a foundation for Biomedical
Engineering in India Professor Guha’s technological
work has helped develop in India a strong
manufacturing base of contraceptives including the
Copper T and the Fallopian Tube Occlusion Ring.
Recognized by the conferment of scientific awards
by various national bodies like Indian Council of
Medical Research; Indian Medical Association;
University Grants Commission and National Research
Development Corporation as well as international
organization, the United Nation.
At present Prof. Guha is developing a Clinical
Andrology program and is also the President of the
Society of Andrology, India.
Dr. Balram Bhargava

Balram Bhargava is
Professor of Cardiology at the prestigious All India
Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and also
Executive Director for Stanford India Biodesign
Centre. Professor (Dr) Balram Bhargava is an
outstanding cardiologist, one of the foremost leaders
in biomedical innovation, public health, medical
education and medical research. He developed the
indigenous Platinum Iridium coronary stent and has
been instrumental in clinically evaluating Indian
stents. These low cost indigenous stents have
benefited several thousand patients.
He set up the Centre for
Excellence for Stem Cell Studies, which has initiated
treatment of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy for
the first time in the world.
He has excellent
leadership qualities; and has promoted the
India-Stanford Biodesign programme, a unique
interdisciplinary programme to foster innovation,
design in low cost implants/devices. Has over twenty
patents on low cost medical devices. An innovator par
excellence with innovations touching everyday lives
with very huge impact. He has been awarded the SN Bose
Centenary award by the Indian National Science
Congress and National Academy of Sciences Platinum
Jubilee Award, Tata Innovation Fellowship and Vasvik
Award for Biomedical Technology Innovation.

Dr. A. Ramkishan has
started his career as a Drugs Inspector in Central
Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) with a
mission to control and assure the quality of drugs and
he is currently working as Deputy Drugs Controller
(India)-I/c, Ministry of Health, Directorate General
of Health Services, Government of India. He has 02
years of teaching experience and 14 years of
experience in Regulatory Affairs.
He has completed Master's
degree in Pharmacy (M. Pharm) with specialization of
Pharmacology from Kakatiya University, Warangal (AP)
and did his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from L.M. College of
Pharmacy, Gujarat University. Dr. Ramkishan was the
recipient of Merit Scholarships throughout his
academic career and also recipient of University
Grants Commission Fellowship for his Ph.D work. He
also got patent approval for his Ph.D. from patent
office, Government of India, Mumbai. He is member of
various Pharma Associations (IPA, DIA, AIDCOC, IPGA
etc) and Editorial Boards (IPS). He has delivered more
than 75 presentations on GxP compliance in various
International and National workshops / conferences,
and also published 6 papers and 2 books (Pharmacy
Pathfinder, Part I & II) to his credit. He was the
recipient of Best Drugs Inspector award (2005), FDA
person of the year award (2007) and Best Drugs Control
Officer award' (2009). He was the recipient of Silver
Medal for the B. V. Patel Education Trust Essay
Competition 201-1 and also Gold medal for the year
2012. He was nominated by Ministry of Health to
participate in International workshops on GMP,
Pharmacovigilance, GCP and ass of Typhoid Vaccine at
Washington DC-USFDA (USA)-2007, Colombo-WHO (Sri
Lanka)-2009, Seoul-DIA/IFPMA/AHC (2011) (Republic of
Korea) and Jeju-WHO/KFDA (2012) (Republic of Korea).
He has nominated as co-opt member in Gujarat' State
Drugs Advisory Board. Recently he has been nominated
as Co-Convener in Scientific Services Committee of IPCA
for the period of 20132016 at Chennai.
