Meet Redmond Dentist, Dr. Daniel Bickel

I grew up in Eastern Washington and attended Eastern Washington University, graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry, and finally the University of Washington School of Dentistry where I graduated in the top 10% of my class. Before attending Dental School, I enjoyed my time working as a Dental Lab Technician, fabricating gold, porcelain, and zirconia crowns for people.

I have always been a big advocate of continuing education to ensure patients are receiving the best treatment available, which is why I attend continuing education courses on a monthly basis. I feel in a fast-paced field that is always changing it is vital to stay abreast of all of the recent research and provide patients with proven techniques and dental materials to ensure everyone has optimal dental and overall health. As your dentist, I am committed to providing individualized comprehensive dental care for you and your family. Why I became a Dentist

I get this question a lot. People can’t believe it when I tell them, but I made the decision to become a dentist at the age of 12. Growing up I had a lot of problems with my own teeth. My teeth were overcrowded and needed extensive Orthodontics on two separate occasions, lasting four years in total. I also had several extractions including my 3^rd molars—also known as wisdom teeth—and “extra” front teeth called mesiodens. Through my extensive dental history I was treated with kindness and compassion from my general dentist, orthodontist, and periodontist. All of them had such an impact not only on my smile and oral health, but my confidence as well. I strive to provide all of my patient with the quality of care that was provided to me.

Family and Community

I grew up in Eastern Washington before moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I have developed a passion for Western Washington and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. When I’m not at the practice, you can find me skiing, wake-boarding, golfing, fishing and camping.
