Blues approved to increase home game capacity to 9,000 fans

The announcement comes in time for the Blues' first-round series with the Colorado Avalanche in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The series will start with Game 1 on Monday, May 17 in Denver while the Blues will host the Avalanche for Game 3 on Friday, May 21 at 8:30 p.m. at Enterprise Center.

The measure marks the biggest percentage increase for the Blues over the balance of a home schedule that started Jan. 18. The raise in capacity allowance is due, in part, to the sustained success of the team's implementation of local and NHL safety protocols, the utilization of the building's HVAC system to enhance air filtration, compliance by fans attending games in Enterprise Center and positive trends in COVID-19 metrics.

"The timing of this good news is serendipitous with the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but it's truly a credit to everyone - our health care workers, city officials, fans and many others - who have been committed to doing the right thing throughout this pandemic," said St. Louis Blues President of Business Operations and CEO Chris Zimmerman. "Everyone with our team, and especially the players, are thrilled that we can have half of Enterprise Center filled safely and responsibly with Blues fans at the most important time of the season. I know our fans will make it sound and feel like a full house, and that's inspiring not only for our team, but for the community as well."

The increase in percentage will span all ticket categories, from general seating in the lower and upper bowls through premium offerings such as all-inclusive areas, club suites and sky suites. The new capacity is being made possible by adding seats in previously unoccupied rows of the lower and upper bowls to complement current pod seating arrangements, which will remain in place. Season Ticket Holders and other plan holders will have the first opportunity to purchase newly available tickets starting early next week.

The game day experience will otherwise not change. Masks are required inside Enterprise Center and the Blues will continue to monitor and take direction from city, state and NHL guidelines concerning face coverings.
