LEGISLATIVE FELLOWSHIP

The CPC Center provides a Legislative Fellowship Program that places Fellows in Congressional offices to provide an opportunity for people from the progressive activist movement to learn about policymaking. Our Fellows come from diverse backgrounds and bring serious dedication to the progressive movement. The Fellowship is a year-long paid legislative policy fellowship for emerging progressive leaders. We place fellows in Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) offices on Capitol Hill to get the education of a lifetime learning the ropes in Congress. Each fellow focuses their expertise on one issue, such as Healthcare, Progressive Foreign Policy, Women’s Rights, Labor Policy, Education, or Democracy Reform.

We know that our democracy is stronger when everyone has a seat at the table. Yet too often, talented and dedicated young people with deep connections to the progressive movement aren’t able to get experience in Congress. Our fellowship program is dedicated to changing that and making sure that the ‘people’s house’ is truly accessible to all people.
