When I think about what kind of design mentor I want to be, I think back to a college professor that would give critical feedback in a way that made me feel optimistic. It was only after she left my desk I realized I had to redo everything, but I was excited about the potential.

The Proud Boys and other pro-Trump protestors are terrorizing citizens and threatening the lives of elected officials in the U.S. capitol. When will more people admit that these people are terrorists and white supremacy is the greatest domestic threat to the U.S.

I’m so happy democracy won. I’m so excited to have a president that is not constantly making news for dumb things. I’m so excited for progress. Now that we’ve all released the breath we’ve held for a week, it’s time to get to work pushing progress forward.

Not sure it’s it’s part of being a designer, or more specific to being a woman in tech... but I feel like part of my job is convincing others my ideas are theirs just so they’ll do them.

Excited to share Adobe's 2020 list of UX Designers to Watch - these designers not only exude great talent and passion, but also demonstrate culture, sustainability and diversity in their work. You'll be seeing a lot more of them in the years to come.

Had the realization recently that designer burnout can come from more than just being overworked. For example: - Designing things that never really get built - Working within too many technical restraints. Yes, some are good, but too many can limit growth. What are others?

Design exists to serve the business. We achieve that by designing products/services people love. But that's the HOW. Don't confuse it with the WHY.
