New FC3000 8 in 1 - Decent emulation
« on: July 19, 2020, 12:08:40 am »
Hello everyone, I will present the new model of the Family Packet in this micro review.

Features:

* Built-in: 1091
* Screen: 3.0 inch 70 Fps 8)
* Battery: 1200mAh Lithium battery
* Support Game format: FC, CPS1, MD, GBC, GB, SMS, GG, SG-1000

Before making the purchase I asked the seller if it is possible to add / remove new games and she said no, because it was Built-in, but I didn't believe it and I killed the suspect as soon as it arrived.

Now some pictures of the inside

(MicroSD Card Suport)

It already comes with a 2GB MicroSD

Inside the Card

Pro folder contains Fake Game Card games with separate games, in this model it was not included, but I also have the older model with "638" games and the shit card works in this model too. There is also a folder with shit games in .ky format.

Save folder has two files that enable savestate in games

Folder tree - INI, PNG, ROM and SAVE

In the Ini file is [name of the game in the gamelist=game file]

In the Png folder are the preview images of the games and are in various resolutions (256x256, 384x224, 160x144, 256x224 and 128x128)

In the Rom folder, the games and this supports compressed files

The CPS1 games are FBA romset, but I did not try to test the Wikawaks games which are bigger.

- I still tested CPS2 games, but the games are loading endlessly, I also haven't tested other systems like Snes and GBA, but then I do that.

In the Save folder, the saved game file is stored

Conclusion
Well, I was surprised by the result of this device, the screen is not perfect, but it does the job, as I didn't notice any drop in frames or crashes, it just works well and the factory firmware is agile, functional and simple.

Hello, yes, only copy and paste, you can add an image for new Rom added too.  I tested it with a 4GB MicroSD and it works fine, it may work with larger ones, but all Romset's on all consoles take up little space.  I made a backup of the Firmware using Win32DiskImager and Just burn the image on another MicroSD.  Yes, I will test the other possibilities and then I will tell you.

I did all the tests I could, I really didn't have any news.  Fortunately this console is worth all the money spent, the emulators work 100% without errors, if it emulated Snes, GBA and CPS2 it would be perfect.  I don't know if it's the processor or the software well optimized, but it seems to have been done with care.

i just received mine today :)

dont worry about the game crad btw, all it does is bridge some pins.

judging from the loading screens, it seems like some kind of java emulators (or j2me).
ill try to see if i can get to the firmware files some way (dont count on it though haha)
Handhelds:
Powkiddy V90, FC3000, X2, LDK vertical, PMP IV, RS-90...

The emulator is perfect, I love mine and good durable battery.  This can emulate Snes, CPS2 and GBA, but only with Custom Firmware.

The fullset is bigger, however it seems to be quite random.  The best way would be to create Romset itself, I had already made one, but my HardDisk burned before uploading.  It seems to me that the seller did not bother to place Preview Image for all the games.

I just received my unit!

It's great for 15?, but the main drawback is that for megadrive it only has 4 buttons and for CPS1 only have 2 buttons...

L and R work like A and B, regardless of the platform, I hope this can be solved with a CFW or something similar in the future.

By the way, my unit came with a 4GB card!

I ordered this too. I saw reviews on youtube, and I think this is quite good for that price. Is there any chance to get CFW for this? I wish it has SFC and Pce emulator!!

sadly no. when turning on without an sd card inserted it does boot, so the firmware is probably installed on the internal memory. a shame

I buyed a PMP in which only "works" cps1 games, effectively cps2 games didn't work but neo geo games that were to 8 mbs works in most of cases, try it. Don't forget to place neo geo bios in folder.
