The President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in today arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit, the presidential press service said.

At the Tashkent international airport, he was welcomed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. Together they will visit Inha University in Tashkent, where Moon Jae-in will familiarize himself with the telemedicine project.

Negotiations between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Moon Jae-in will be held on April 19 at the Kuksaroy residence. The two will reportedly discuss prospects for strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, financial, technical and humanitarian spheres.

During the visit the President Moon will address th joint session of Oliy Majlis, attend the business forum and the opening ceremony of the House of Korean Culture and Art in Tashkent.

In addition, the President of the Republic of Korea will visit Samarkand.

During the visit, it is planned to sign a package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental accords, trade and investment deals.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited South Korea on a state visit on November 22-25, 2017.
