General Interest

General
EARLY DAYS
She grew up on her family's 19,000-acre farm in rural Queensland, Australia, 26 kilometres from the nearest town. "As a professional sportsperson who plays rugby sevens for Australia, I think growing up on the farm has helped with my fitness. Every afternoon I'd come home from primary school and do cattle work in the yards or go riding on our horses. As soon as farm kids are old enough to walk, they're helping out." (athletesvoice.com.au, 31 Jul 2018)

CHARITY WORK
She has served as an ambassador for the Australian children's charity Little Windmills. "As a country girl myself, it is a cause close to my heart. Little Windmills plays an important role in financially supporting country families with seriously sick and injured kids, families who are often under financial strain and need to travel great distances for medical attention and support. To be involved with an Australian charity that helps the country so practically is incredibly rewarding." (littlewindmills.com.au, 19 Dec 2019)
