Mike Carter

Owen Michael Carter (Mike) of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May

15, 2021, God mercifully took him home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by his wife Joan, sons Stephen (Misha) Carter, Tim (Deana) Carter and

grandson Walter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Carter Robertson, father William Owen

Carter and sister Deane Carter.

Mike graduated Ooltewah High School, received his BS from Middle Tennessee State

University and JD from Memphis University of Law.

He practiced law in Memphis and Chattanooga and served as General Sessions Judge in Hamilton County before serving in the State House of Representatives.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday May 21, 2021 at Ooltewah Baptist Church, Ooltewah, Tennessee. Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 PM at the

church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
