I have read a large portion of this book because it was assigned by acollege history professor for a course on Medieval England from 1071-1215. In conjunction with other scholarly works, this book provides some excellent details and expansions of information about the Viking raids of England in the 9th and 10th centuries and it also has some wonderful pictures which scholarly articles generally don't provide.
