    Ferris comments that "Apparently some years ago, Lloyd Martin told Ron Leuschner that the moth does not belong in Lacinipolia and probably belongs in the Orthodes area. I concur. Selman did not include the species in his Lacinipolia revision. I have brushed away the terminal abdominal scales in the specimen that I have from Noel, and the genitalia clearly don't belong to a Lacinipolia. The moth superficially resembles Hexorthodes [formerly Polia] tuana, but the genitalia are quite different. Poole missed this one and retained it in Lacinipolia in his "Catalogus."
