Yogi Babu, who recently shared screen space with Ajith in Viswasam, is set to star in the Nerkonda Paarvai actor's next, Valimai. The actor took to social media to announce that he was playing a "good character role" in the H Vinoth directorial. This will mark Yogi Babu's fourth film with Ajith after Veeram, Vedhalam, and Viswasam.
Incidentally, this is the first casting announcement from the film. While there is speculation that Huma Qureshi will play the female lead, there has been no official announcement yet.
Reports suggest that Ajith will be playing a cop in this film. The actor has been sporting dark hair and is also said to have lost a few kilos for the role.
Produced by Boney Kapoor, this is Theeran director H Vinoth’s second film with Ajith after Nerkonda Paarvai. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah. Shooting for the film has been happening in Chennai and Hyderabad.
