Edgar Cayce – The Early Years

Before Edgar Cayce A.R.E.

Encounter the early life of Edgar Cayce, “The Sleeping Prophet” and discover the years leading up to the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.). Often compared to Nostradamus, Cayce is believed to be America’s greatest 20th century psychic. In his lifetime he gave more than 14,000 psychic readings while in hypnotic trances. Considered the father of holistic medicine, most of Cayce’s readings diagnosed illnesses and suggested natural remedies.

Edgar Cayce Predictions

Many of the Edgar Cayce predictions and psychic readings were written down and used as the basis for the New Age movement. Most are available online and through the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. ( Edgar Cayce A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach, Va.

Edgar Cayce and Atlantis

A devout Christian, Cayce often spoke of reincarnation and the mystical city of Atlantis. Many readings spoke of the location of the lost city. Edgar Cayce predictions reportedly included World War I, World War II, the stock market crash of 1929 and his own death on Jan. 3, 1945. As Cayce’s predictions and psychic readings gained world-wide fame, his client list grew, reportedly including Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Edison, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin.
