facilities
Kitchens are usually shared from 4 to 8 people, depending on the floor and room you are in. Scouts come once a day to collect the bin kitchens and rooms. They also perform general cleaning in the kitchens.
room items
It might vary, but usually the following items might be found in your room: 1 duvet, 2 pillows, 1 mattress cover, 1 small coffee table, 1 easy chair, 1 desk chair, 1 bedside table with drawer, 1 desk, 1 bookshelf and 2 study lamps.
internet
Each room has fast ethernet connection to the Internet already included in the rent. You can buy an ethernet cable for £5 from the College Porters, for example. Eduroam WiFi signal is usually good everywhere inside the building.
laundry
Three washing machines and three dryers, as well as ironing facilities, are available in the laundrette located on the first floor for St Aldate's residents. Each load of wash costs £1.40, as does a dry (it is more practical to do 2 washes to 1 dry, as the dryers are larger). The machines use a laundry card system – cards can be obtained from the College Bursary (Front Quad 1A), Main College Building, and money can be put on to a card using a machine in the corner of the College's post room (next to the Porters’ Lodge). You will need to provide your own detergent etc.
parking
Parking is not available for residents of St Aldate's House. There is a wide pavement to the right of main front door, and you can park on this fairly easily for unloading purposes.
Cycle
Bicycle parking facilities are provided within the building to meet the needs of cyclists residents in St Aldate's House.
