NCERT launches Diploma course in Guidance and Counselling, Apply by Nov 5 on ncert.nic.in

National Council of Educational Research and Training, NCERT has announced about starting a new Diploma course in Guidance and Counselling. The course will be for a period of one year and those who are interested in it can apply by November 5, 2021. More details are available on ncert.nic.in.  

NCERT's Diploma in Guidance and Counselling is for students who are seeking training of professional counsellors for schools and allied settings. The official notice by Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE on this mentions that NCERT has been offering such courses for many years. However, this one is the new phase in it.  

The course will be held from January to December, 2022. It will be offered in distance and even face-to-face modes. Check below the important dates.  

NCERT launches Diploma course in Guidance and Counselling 

Candidates must note that admission to the course is purely dependent on merit basis. A selection test will be done and those who clear it will be appearing for the Interview round. The final admission would be given only after the result of Interview round.  

Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling: How to apply 

1. Go to the official website – ncert.nic.in.  
2. On the Homepage, click on the link that reads, 'Diploma course in Guidance and Counselling.' 
3. A new page would open where you can click on 'Online Application form.' 
4. Alternatively, candidates can also click on the direct link given here to apply for this new Diploma course.  
5. Enter your Login credentials and start filling the application form.  
6. Upload the documents as asked and click on submit.  
7. Your application form for NCERT's Diploma course in Guidance and Counselling will be submitted. 
8. Download and print a copy of the same for future references.  

According to the official notice, "Spread over three phases, the course will contain Guided Self-learning (6 months, Distance), Intensive Practicum (3 months; full-time contact programme at the study centre) and Internship (3 months; in candidate’s home town/workplace)."
