Greater Columbus Organizations Partner to Help Tainan City, the Columbus region's Sister City

On February 6th Columbus’ Sister City Tainan which is located in Taiwan, Republic of China was severely impacted by an earthquake that hit close to Tainan. In light of the tragic events unfolding in Tainan, Greater Columbus Sister Cities International, Inc., along with the City of Columbus and the Board of Commissioners, Franklin County, are partnering to encourage the community to support relief efforts by generously donating to the Tainan Disaster Relief Fund of The Columbus Foundation. Additional information about the fund can be found at http://columbusfoundation.org/giving/types-of-funds/special-initiatives/tainan-disaster-relief.

The earthquake in Tainan City is deeply affecting the Taiwanese friends that have been made over the years through the Sister City relationship.  In recognition of the immense struggle that many Tainan families will be forced to face in the coming weeks and months, organizers request residents, companies and organizations from the Columbus region to respond with a robust relief effort through the Tainan Disaster Relief Fund.

To make a donation, make checks payable to The Columbus Foundation, at 1234 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, 43205 with “Tainan Disaster Relief Fund” in the memo field.
