The Overgrown Cliffs is made up of mountain spikes with bushes climbing up their sides, and basins filled with lush jungle.
Description[]
The towering spires in this biome that can reach 190 on the Y axis, and they can group together to form large ridges. These mountains are covered in Hardened Clay, making them comparatively different. The basins and the spires have their own differing attributes and vegetation.
Vegetation[]
On the mountains there are lots of small Jungle Trees, often sprouting Cocoa from their logs. Fire Sakura Flowers, Sprout, and Shrub also grow on these mountains. Below, in the basins, there are some sets of Acacia trees forming a canopy, and Birch Trees forming scrub across the ground, making it more hotter.
Mobs & NPCs[]
Parrots, Koala Bears, and Goats spawn in this biome, adding to its colourfulness.
Survival[]
Unlike other lush, jungle-y biomes, there are no melons here. The primary crop is cocoa, which is not edible. Food is not immediately available, and farming requires clearing a lot of scrub. There is plenty of wood, and stone, however the mountains can provide impenetrable barriers to exploration in the early game.
History[]
This biome was added in 1.8. in 1.13.2 and higher, Overgrown Stone was replaced with Hardened Clay, due to it being removed. Also spires were changed to a simpler mountainuous terrain.
