Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his Manchester United defenders to be wary of Club Brugge forward Krepin Diatta tomorrow night.

The 21-year-old missed the first leg in Belgium through injury but is expected to return at Old Trafford with the tie delicately poised at 1-1.

Diatta has seven goals and four assists in 30 games this season for Club Brugge and Solskjaer said the exciting forward reminded him of Liverpool's Sadio Mane, with the two players international teammates for Senegal.

The runaway leaders in Belgium have injury problems ahead of the second leg, with Emmanuel Dennis, the goalscorer last week, out injured, but Solskjaer is wary of his potential replacement.

“I know Diatta is back in, he is the most exciting player. He tries things, he has got the X-factor, fantastic pace and balance. Similar to Sadio Mane," said Solskjaer.

Solskjaer came close to working with Diatta in Norway, with the youngster originally on the books of Molde before the current United boss took over there.

By then Diatta had moved to Sarpsborg and Solskjaer had to find a way to stop him instead. The Senegal international moved to Club Brugge at the end of the 2017 season in Norway.
