The year seems to be a rather good one for B-town hotties with south film aspirations, as several actors from Bollywood have turned baddies for south films. The latest addition to this brigade is model-turned-actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who has signed a south film. The Band of Boys star has been roped in to play a negative role in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, which has Suriya in the lead.
Though it’s not Sudhanshu’s first south film (he played a negative role opposite Ajith in
Billa 2), the actor seems elated to be a part of Gautham’s film. “Why would any actor refuse to be a part of Gautham’s film? He really liked my work in
Billa 2 and told me that he would work with me sometime for his films. It looks like the time has come now and I am glad to be a part of the project,” he says. Though he cannot divulge details about his role, Sudhanshu says that he has got a
new look in the film. He says, “I had put on weight for my role in
Billa 2 since I had to look older than I am. But I heard Suriya is going to be in great shape for the film. If he is going to bulk up, I need to push myself too.”
With several B’wood hotties taking up negative roles in the south, there is a lot of demand for good-looking baddies, says Sudhanshu. “The best part about working in the south is that the villains are as famous as the
lead actor. They get an equally powerful role and I am glad to be a part of the race,” he says.
