Will Emily's adventures in the city of love continue?

Emily in Paris season 3 is desperately needed after the Netflix show left things on a hell of a cliffhanger in season 2 and now fans are dying to know - when will it arrive?

Lily Collins' characters quest for life and love in the French capital has provided the ultimate guilty pleasure watch with plenty of shots of the city, and more outlandish, bright and bold fashion choices than Vogue's Instagram feed.

Let's not forget to mention the parade of eye-catching men that have been sweeping her off her feet or leaving her in a tailspin.

So... what's to happen now? Here's everything you need to know...

Emily in Paris: Will there be a season 3 and is there a release date?

Good news! Emily In Paris season three has been confirmed – as well as a season four, too!

So now we know we have a whole heap of awkward love stories and questionable fashion statements ahead of us in the upcoming years.

Netflix confirmed the news on January 10, 2022, less than a month after season two dropped.

However, filming is yet to commence on the series, so a release date won't be announced for a while yet... but at least we now have something to definitively be excited by!

This is just as well considering what happened in the season two finale...

Which cast members are likely to return for Emily in Paris season 3?

Lily Collins, the show's leading lady and one of its producers, will definitely be back. After all, what's Emily in Paris without Emily... in Paris?

Also, the influencer's adventures around the French capital just wouldn't be the same without her best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) there to lend her some advice, or provide the soundtrack.

Her will they/won't they romance with gorge chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) is also likely to continue, so expect Emily's unwitting love frenemy, Camille (Camille Razat) to stick around too.

But who else is joining her will depend heavily on what Emily's decision was at the end of season two.

If she chooses her new job, she'll be remaining in Paris, so expect more Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold) and Luc (Bruno Gouery).

However, if she decides to remain at Savoir, expect a brand new host of characters, spearheaded by Madeline (Kate Walsh), who flew over from Chicago to Paris in season two and well and truly put the cat among the pigeons.

Then, there's that complication of Emily's dashing British boyfriend, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount)...

Emily in Paris season 3 plot: What's going to happen?

At the end of season two, Emily found herself with a big decision to make about the future of her career. Does she embrace life in Paris, or keep her ties to her big job opportunity in Chicago?

Whatever her decision is, this would steer the way for Emily's future... or if she remains in the French capital at all.

Turns out Paris has had an effect on her – and she finds herself torn when Sylvie hands in her notice at Savoir, with the rest of the team quitting alongside her. Sylvie later proposes Emily join them in her new team.

But Madeline, her boss from Chicago, is eager to keep Emily on her side too, telling her she can work her way up the company, and promising the promotion she's been fighting for since before even coming to France.

While making this decision, Emily realises she's in love with Gabriel, despite finding romance with British banker Alfie.

This is convenient timing, seeing as Alfie has now returned to the UK after completing his work there (something unspecific to do with Brexit, we're told). But despite the long-distance, Alfie wants to make things work. Will she give her new love a shot?

Ultimately, she knows where her heart lies – with Gabriel. But in somewhat less convenient timing, it seems the discovery was too little, too late for her burgeoning relationship with him after running to his apartment.

Finally admitting she loves him, despite repeatedly telling him to move on and get back with Camille, Emily was left upset when she discovered… Gabriel has moved on and got back with Camille.

Emily pretends she's happy, but is an awful liar, and soon flees to have an emotional moment on a bridge as she reflects on what to do with her life.

In the final seconds of season two, she's seen calling Sylvie with her answer, but the show cuts to black before we hear it.

Guess we'll find out soon enough what she says.

Emily in Paris season 3 trailer: When can I see it?

Unfortunately, there's no trailer for season three out yet.

And with filming not even commencing yet, it looks like we're going to have a loooong wait before we even find out any more information.

But don't worry, we'll tell you everything we know as soon as we know it – and we're pretty sure it'll be très magnifique.

Emily in Paris is available to watch now on Netflix.
