Since launch in 2015, POLITICO Europe has grown to over 200 employees across offices in Brussels, London, Berlin and Paris of 31 nationalities. The European newsroom counts 100 journalists.

The Brussels Playbook daily newsletter counts over 110,000 subscribers while the London Playbook has over 70,000 and Playbook Paris 25,000.

POLITICO Pro – our premium policy intelligence service for professionals – now offers 12 areas of coverage including Technology, Health Care, Energy & Climate, Financial Services and more.

POLITICO Pro’s paid offering reaches many thousands of policy experts and decision-makers from over 1050 organizations in 33 countries.

2021 MHP + Mischief 30 To Watch: Young Journalist Awards – In May 2021, Tech reporter Leonie Cater was recognized at the MHP + Mischief 30 To Watch: Young Journalist Awards in the technology category.

2021 Campaign Publishing Awards – In May 2021, the POLITICO 28 Class of 2021 won Event of the Year in the Business Media category at the Campaign Publishing Awards. POLITICO Europe also received a high commendation in the International Brand of the Year category.

2021 Society for News Design – In May 2021, POLITICO Europe’s print edition picked up 60 awards, including three silver medals at the Society for News Design awards.

2020 Amerigo Journalism Prize – In December 2020, Brussels Playbook author Florian Eder, received the Europe 2020 Award for the Amerigo Journalism prize. The award singles out the “special attention on transatlantic issues” and the impact of U.S. policies on Europe in Florian’s newsletter, saying his writing “helps many European leaders to better understand the Washington point of view on the hottest economic, political and diplomatic issues.”

2020 ZN #EU Influencer list – In September 2020, Brussels Playbook author Florian Eder, political reporter Lili Bayer and tech reporter Laura Kayali were ranked in the ZN #EUINFLUENCER list, with Florian Eder coming in second place.  

2020 Digiday Media Awards Europe – In August 2020, POLITICO Pro won Digital Product of the Year at the Digiday Media Awards Europe.

2020 Forbes 30 under 30 Europe – In March 2020, tech reporter Melissa Heikkilä was named in the 2020 Forbes 30 under 30, in the media and marketing section.

2020 Society for News Design – In March 2020, POLITICO Europe’s print edition was named one of the world’s 11 best designed newspapers. Creative Director Tim Ball and Deputy Production Editor Ali Walker picked up 52 awards for their work over the course of 2019. Only five publications in the world received more awards — the New York Times, Washington Post, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Los Angeles Times and National Geographic magazine.
