Seems like a massive change in tone for the strip but she's growing up, and it does seem like the least tragic ending. I'm still expecting a more PG tragic resolution though. The Transformation from Loup to Loup in human body has been shocking. He seems to be unable to combat the chemical changes going on in his body. Im not sure how it would play out, but it seems very very similar to how Renard changed shape to pursue Annie's Mom.

I know some people may think this is like Annie’s “dads” being interested in her but I really read it differently. If anything, Loup feels like the son of Coyote and Ysengrin. He doesn’t act like either of them, he acts like…a young, impulsive, obnoxious teenager. Hmmm :)

I would prefer Annie's narrative on this tbh. See her side rather than wondering what she knows/doesn't know and feeling a bit like she's simply an object of affection in the scene.

I'm with some other people in not being entirely sure where Tom is going with this. Normally, I'm fine with the ride since I never really know what the hell is going on with this comic, but this is just getting a little too bizarre for my tastes. If Loup ends up completely losing himself to his Jerk persona in the end, this is gonna end badly for both him AND Annie when the truth is revealed.
