MISSION

DEDICATED TO PASSION

SiNaCa Studios School of Glass and Gallery is dedicated to providing North Texas an opportunity to experience the rich tradition of glass as a creative medium through education, studio and community involvement. Founded by several local glass artists, this facility is available to everyone. From the beginning student to the professional, who wishes to learn new skills in glassblowing, kiln formed glass, and flame working, or to perfect their current skill level, SiNaCa offers something for everyone.

The addition of this glass facility adds another dimension to the rich cultural scene of North Texas. From joint projects working with other non-profits and teaching glass arts in youth programs to community gallery shows in the Metroplex – SiNaCa is forging a new frontier in the local arts scene. Located in the exciting Near Southside district of Fort Worth at 1013 West Magnolia Avenue, SiNaCa Studios facility is a renovated gas station and is becoming a destination for glass artists and students. The facility consists of a glass specific gallery, a glassblowing studio, a kiln forming studio, a flame working studio and a cold working studio.

So you want to play with glass? SiNaCa is the perfect place to start, or continue your addiction to glass. We offer classes ranging from 20 minutes to 4 and 6 weeks in length depending on how you want to work with the glass. We have three studios to choose how you want to experience creating with glass: Glass blowing, Flame working, Kiln forming.

EXPERIENCE

SiNaCa Studios invites you to come watch glass artists creating their works of art. Events range from monthly formal demonstrations to large community events held through out the year. As a public access facility any time that people are working in the studios you are welcome to come watch the magic of glass. We can't guarantee when someone will be working, so don't hesitate to call or email us to see if something is happening.

YOUTH

SiNaCa offers different classes geared for the younger artists to get involved with glass. These offerings can range from 30 minutes in our Walkup Workshops, for a quick taste of glass, to 4 day long day summer camps to have a fully immersive experience in all of our studios. We also offer demonstrations that are focused on the science behind creating with glass.

RENTAL

Any of SiNaCa’s studios are available for rental to both experienced students and professional artists. The availability of renting is dependent on existing class schedules, and operating hours. All renters must have a signed Studio Rental Agreement and Risk and Release forms on file prior to renting. SiNaCa Studios offers a Studio Membership program for individuals that anticipate multiple studio rentals. The memberships offer discounts specific to the studio of use. Studio Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

SiNaCa Studios has and will continue to provide a professional gallery exhibition space, and a variety of instruction in glass blowing, kiln forming and flame working, from introductory to advanced study.
