WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be the only wrestling game from 2K Games this year, as it confirmed the WWE 2K series would be taking a year off due to the poor reception of WWE 2K20 and more.

Battlegrounds will also feature a story-based campaign that will see legendary WWE agent Paul Heyman searching for the next WWE Superstar, with the help of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.

There will be seven wrestlers to choose from that have been specially designed for the game, and you will compete to earn a contract across multiple maps and arenas.

Beyond the campaign, there will also be an Exhibition mode, a last-man-standing King of the Battleground mode, and online tournaments.
