Haiti: Dept: Sud. [...] Rocky Pinus occidentalis forest with Agave, Eupatorium, Garrya, Vaccinium, Gleichenia, and Chusquea. Locally common shrub ca. 3 m tall. Corolla dull yellow. Calyx and bracts heavily tinged with red-purple. Leaves glossy green above. Flowers unscented.
