Prescott College received  funding for Emergency Relief student grants through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) initially authorized by Congress through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) and later supplemented by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP).

Funding has been allocated to students based on need and from May 2020 through December 2021, students also had the opportunity to appeal for additional funding from this grant based on their individual COVID-related circumstances.  The remaining funding from this grant has now been allocated to students enrolled in Spring 2022 based on their current estimated family contribution (EFC) from the FAFSA. (Students who were not eligible for FAFSA were encouraged to contact financial aid prior to the final round of funding for instructions regarding submitted a paper FAFSA directly to the Prescott College financial aid office.)

Students whose income has changed since 2019 and/or who had other unusual financial circumstances are also invited to schedule an appointment with a financial aid counselor via calendly.com/pcfinaid to discuss submitting a financial circumstances appeal to request an EFC adjustment prior to the final round of funding.  Though the HEERF Emergency Relief Grant fund has now been exhausted, students may continue to submit appeals based on change in income or other unusual circumstances.  Doing so may qualify students for additional funding from other sources.
