Outside of that issue, the motherboard has done the job I expected of it. The BIOS is incredibly full-featured, however it's difficult to navigate. There is a very steep learning curve when it comes to using this thing to its full potential. I'm manually OCing my RAM so they're 3400/CL16 (a very modest OC), because I was having a difficult time getting XMP to work properly. That's almost certainly on the RAM manufacturer, and not the Mobo. The CPU is OCing easily enough, but there are a LOT of options here, and a lot of nested options you'll need to search for.
The ports are decent. Some (the USB 3.1 gen 2 header) are located in frustrating places, making it hard to utilize them, but I haven't found anything impossible to access yet. I do sincerely wish they moved the location of that USB 3.1 Gen 2 header, though.
The Realtek Audio Driver is also incredibly frustrating to use. I actually prefer to use this without updating to the driver from the Asrock website. If I use the driver Asrock recommends, you get a popping sound whenever you adjust the volume, the volume will automatically adjust, so full volume and minimum volume will sound almost identical, etc. I can't even list all of the problems i had with the Realtek Audio Driver, and the best solution I had was to just avoid using it. Without the recommended Realtek driver, I can plug my headphones into the front panel connector, the computer detects this change, stops playing audio from my speakers in the back, and starts playing audio from the front panel connector (my headphones). That's perfect for me, and exactly what i want. I'm sure i can change this in the settings as well if I'd like it to play out of my speakers and headphones, but I haven't tried because I don't see the purpose.
All in all, I'm giving this 3 stars because, with a $200 motherboard, I'd expect it to work properly. This isn't my first rodeo, and I'm incredibly frustrated that I can't use the lighting on parts of my board. What's more frustrating is that this isn't a big enough issue to disassemble everything and ship it back, wait a few weeks for a new board, and be forced to use my laptop while I wait. It's like the situation with a parking ticket. It's just inexpensive enough to not want to waste a day off contesting, but still enough to sting.
With the RGB issue fixed, this would be a 4/5. With the audio issue fixed (with the suggested drivers), this would be a 5/5.
This board does what want under the hood, but the "extra features" just don't, and I wouldn't call that acceptable for a $200 board. If this were $120, I'd be giving it 5/5.
Will update this in a couple weeks with some pictures and updates.
I can truly attest to the marvel of technology this thing is. For 1000% certainty, I will never purchase another gigabyte, or msi, or even Asus board again. ASRock till I die. Werd up to ya cousin Herbert.

I'm using this motherboard with AMD Ryzen 5 2600 @4.1 GHz and 1,39375V
EDIT: After a month, one of the USB 3.0 ports stopped working.
Was a good upgrade from my ASRock X370 Killer.
Again, my guess is that the board I have is bad, or that I messed something up, but I still have to purchase a new MB performing a pretty simple task on it that I have done many, many times before.

If you're getting a ryzen 3000 onwards...
This board arrived with BIOS version P1.50. This means it will support 2nd and 1st gen ryzen out of the box, but if your cpu is any more recent than that, you're going to have to get your hands on (or get someone else who has) one of these older cpus in order to fit it in and update the BIOS for you. You'll need a FAT32 USB flash drive, and you can get the BIOS off Asrock's website. Make sure to update to version 2.00 first, then the most recent one.
AMD will loan you an Athlon 200GE if you request one from their site, however you could buy one or similar yourself here on amazon uk. I got the Athlon 200GE and can confirm it worked out of the box.

Visually, it's a stunning board and of the X470 lineup, a class act. The taichi ultimate adds 10Gigabit wired LAN connection.
One plus I'll mention now before updating later: The abundance of MODERN USB ports. You won't find USB 2.0 ports on the back, at a minimum they are USB 3.1 Gen 1/3.2 gen 1 (we used to know them simply as "USB 3.0"), which is refreshing, and of course backwards compatible with any USB 2.0/1.1/1.0 devices.
One of the main reasons I chose this motherboard was the AMD bios feature, to make overclocking easy. This was especially important to make the 3200Mhz ram work well.
The only concern I have had is the placement of the M.2, right below the GPU. My hard drive was getting warm fast, until I installed an additional fan for better airflow in that region.
Otherwise a good motherboard and a great overclocker. 3000Mhz on ram (dual rank and dual channel samsung die) and 3.9Ghz (stock cooler) on 2700(non X).
