Ben Affleck was spotted vigorously gesturing with his head and hands while out to dinner with his new bride Jennifer Lopez at a ritzy Italian hotel (left). The pair were photographed at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como in northern Italy, the first sighting of the celebrity couple since their blockbuster weekend wedding at Affleck's Georgia estate. Ben shook his head side to side and spoke rapidly as Jennifer listened on. His hands flashed up and down and side to side, and he leaned in to Jennifer with a series of animated expressions on his face. Jennifer shifted in her seat but appeared to listen intently as her husband spoke. Jennifer, 53, wore white with her hair up, while Ben, 50, sported a blue polo shirt and a pair of tan trousers. The two ate alone and shared several smooches as they sat side by side throughout the dinner. They could be seen looking at what appeared to be photos from their wedding on Ben's phone, which he held up several times to share with his beaming bride (top right). The couple left the hotel hand-in-hand around 10:30pm (bottom right).

It is understood that she only survived the crash - in which a 33-year-old mother died - thanks to her seatbelt. The driver, Rida Al Mousawi, 24, remains in a critical condition in hospital after his £120,000 car flew off the road and burst into flames on Monday.

The sickening violence that left Olivia, 9, blasted to death at foot of her stairs

It was past bedtime and nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel should have been drifting into a comfortable sleep in the safety of her family home. Until 10pm on Monday, the day had been completely normal for Cheryl Korbel, 46, and her three children at their terraced house on Kingsheath Avenue, Liverpool. But outside, around 100 yards along the road near the corner of Finch Lane, a nasty gangland confrontation suddenly flared up. It had nothing to do with the Korbel family, but within seconds there was horror and bloodshed inside their well-kept home.

Detectives investigating the murder graduate Ashley Dale (pictured), 29, in her own back garden in Liverpool in the early hours of Sunday morning have released CCTV of a car they want to trace.

Neighbours say gun attack on nine-year-old was gangland reprisal

Little Olivia Pratt-Korbel was likely the tragic victim of a vicious 'tit-for-tat' war among 'feral' gangsters in Liverpool which has gone on for weeks when she was killed by a balaclava-clad gunman who stormed into her house while chasing a suspected rival, her horrified neighbours claimed. The nine-year-old was senselessly and callous murdered by a masked maniac after a 35-year-old man - who was completely unknown to her family but known by police as a criminal - broke into her terraced house in Kingsheath Avenue, in the Dovecot area of Liverpool on Monday night, in a bid to get away from a shooter, police said. Her mother Cheryl Korbel, 46, was shot in the wrist as she tried to close the door on the gunman while Olivia - who was stood behind her - was shot in the chest. Neighbours believe that the attack may have been connected to a shooting at a children's playground just yards from Olivia's home on August 8 - just two weeks ago - where gunmen riding a dark-coloured car shot at a man on an electric bike. Nobody has been arrested for the incident.

Meghan slammed for 'punch towards Royal Family' as she takes swipe at being 'labelled'

In a wide-ranging discussion on the first episode of her long-awaited 'Archetypes' podcast with guest Serena Williams, entitled 'The Misconception of Ambition', Meghan spoke about double standards women face when labelled 'ambitious'. She added: 'And apparently ambition is a terrible, terrible thing. For a woman that is, according to some. So since I felt the negativity behind it, It's really hard to unfeel it.' But her swipe has been slammed as 'a smack in the face for Harry and a punch towards the Royal Family'. Royal commentator Angela Levin also pointed to the hypocrisy of the remarks, suggesting that Meghan 'would still be a D-list celebrity if she had not married a prince'. She also said Meghan had come across 'ungrateful and a victim' when she had 'so many chances others had not', adding that many royals are ambitious and have had success both in their own careers and in terms of raising money for charities.

Entitled The Misconception of Ambition with Serena Williams, Meghan spoke to the tennis star about double standards women face when they are labelled 'ambitious'.

The tennis player, 40, shared a black-and-white snap which saw her cosy up to Meghan, 41, who looked chic in a coat which she layered over a denim outfit.

Giggling, gushing - and old grievances: Duchess of Sussex's Spotify podcast promised to explore sexist double standards. But BEL MOONEY says the first episode sounded warning bells from the start

BEL MOONEY: It was high time that the £18million deal with Spotify, signed in 2020, got off the ground, and of course the first episode - entitled The Misconception of Ambition - had to be a cracker. And certainly the potential was there for two high-profile women to do as billed - investigate the 'labels that try to hold women back'. Since Serena is one of the most successful and fearless players in the history of her sport, I was keen to hear her analyse her ambition and desire to win, and to reflect on the personal cost of her dazzling triumphs; to find out what originally put the steel in her spine and to hear her serve up some devastating backhand shots against male put-downs. But it didn't happen. This bizarre, saccharine and faintly queasy schmooze-fest between Meghan and 'my dear friend Serena' (as we hear over and over again) tells us next to nothing at all about the making of Serena Williams's towering ambition.

Speaking in the first episode of her Archetypes podcast the Duchess, 41, said Archie's nanny had taken the four-and-a-half month old downstairs with her when she went to get a snack.

'Hey, it's me! I'm just excited to be myself and talk and be unfiltered... it's fun': Royal family braces for more revelations as Meghan says people can get to know 'the real me they've never gotten to know' in new Archetypes podcast launched today

Meghan Markle has declared that she is going to 'be myself and talk and be unfiltered' in her new Spotify podcast, in a hint that she is planning on dropping more 'truth-bombs' about the Royal Family - just hours after firing a new broadside at the Windsors. In a new video promoting her long-awaited Archetypes podcast - which has taken two years to get off the ground after the Sussexes signed a lucrative deal with the audio streaming giant estimated to be worth around £18million after they quit royal duties - the duchess said 'people should expect the real me in this and probably the me that they've never gotten to know'. She said: 'People should expect the real me in this and probably the me that they've never gotten to know. Certainly not in the past few years, where everything is through the lens of the media, as opposed to: "Hey, it's me". I'm just excited to be myself and talk and be unfiltered and... yeah, it's fun'. It comes after the former Suits star also hit out at those who criticised her for being 'ambitious' when she started dating Prince Harry , during a wide-ranging discussion on the new episode with her close friend, US tennis great Serena Williams.

Family of nurse Owami Davies tell of their 'deepest gratitude' after she was found safe

The relieved family of student nurse Owami Davies have described their 'deepest gratitude to each and every one of you wherever you are, whoever you are' for helping find the 24-year-old after she went missing nearly eight weeks ago - and was discovered 'safe and well' in Hampshire 100 miles from home. Fears for her safety had been mounting over the past two months after the King's College London nursing student was last seen walking north along London Road in Croydon on July 7 after leaving her family home in Grays, Essex three days earlier - having told her mother she was going to the gym. Despite the arrests of five people and numerous appeals for information, some 50 officers were struggling to locate Miss Davies as they trawled through 117 reported sightings of her and 50,000 hours of CCTV footage as they frantically worked to retrace the student nurse's steps. The 118th report, made in response to a media appeal by a member of the public, at 10.30am today was the one which led to her being found.

DAN WOOTTON: Harry Styles is a real talent, but attempts to make world think he's gay is

DAN WOOTTON: Now I've always been a fan of Mr Styles - he's a real talent whose career I have supported since first meeting him as an enthusiastic teen with stars in his eyes in the canteen backstage at the X Factor, where he effortlessly flirted with virtually every glamorous woman in the vicinity, especially those twice his age. However, I'm becoming increasingly uncomfortable with his constant and insincere attempts to insert himself in the so-called LGBT+ community with incessant references to the 'journey' of his sexuality, which actually involves dating a parade of beautiful women and no men. In an embarrassingly fawning new interview with Rolling Stone, Harry has again tried to create a mystery around his sexual orientation while promoting his new film My Policeman, where he plays a closeted cop in 1950s Brighton.

'There is no new King of Pop,' tweeted Taj, 49, whose father is Michael's brother Tito Jackson. 'You don't own the title @RollingStone, and you didn't earn it, my uncle did.'

During the footage, a man can be seen approaching the drone pilot carrying what appeared to be a black handgun. The video showed the man point the weapon at the drone pilot. Police said they arrested a man on suspicion of possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear. Armed officers seized the weapon which was described as an air rifle.

Spice turned burglar 'with no history of sex attacks or violence' into barbaric rapist

Joshua Carney, 28, the sadistic sex fiend who raped a mother and her 14-year-old daughter while high on spice, was exposed to the 'zombie' drug while in prison. The career burglar had just been released from a jail which admits to having a major problem with Spice - a synthetic cannabis that has been known to cause psychotic episodes - when he barged into the family's South Wales home. He later told police he had consumed the drug and claimed he had no memory of the horrific attack on the terrified mother and her 14-year-old daughter. Despite having 47 previous convictions, none of Carney's prior offences had a sexual motive. But he was 'intoxicated' with the drug when he locked the mother and daughter inside their own home to put them through a sex ordeal described by a judge as 'the stuff of nightmares'. The defence argued the horrific crime was 'out of character' for Carney and that he was in a 'chaotic condition' at the time of the attack. Experts say the street drug, which is composed of various synthetic molecules known as cannabinoids, alters the way receptors in the brain receive messages. They allege 'violent outbursts' and 'unpredictable behaviours' are possible when one is under the influence of spice.

Meghan Markle names Archie's nanny for the first time

During a conversation with her close friend, tennis great Serena Williams, the Duchess of Sussex, 41, recalled how Archie, now three, narrowly escaped a fire in his bedroom on the Sussexes' royal tour to South Africa in autumn 2019. In the episode, released on Tuesday, Meghan spoke of her distress after learning of the near-miss soon after delivering an empowering speech to girls in the Nyanga township in Cape Town, before rushing back to see Archie and then having to leave him to carry out another official engagement. She praised Archie's then nanny, named only as Lauren - a Zimbabwean who liked to tie him on her back with a mud cloth - as 'amazing' when recalling the incident. Meghan added that Lauren stayed with the family until they left for Canada - before the Duchess and Prince Harry moved to the US after stepping back from their roles in the royal family. It comes after Harry and Meghan were 'forced to let go' of one of Archie's night nurses during her second shift with the couple 'for being unprofessional', their biography Finding Freedom claimed in 2020.

BETH HALE: By the time Prince William was the age that his eldest son is now, he had already completed his first year at boarding school. That one - Ludgrove, in Wokingham, Berkshire - was among the educational establishments the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited when looking for a new school for Prince George, who celebrated his ninth birthday just a few weeks ago. But ultimately - tellingly - it was not their final choice. Instead they alighted upon £21,000-a-year Lambrook School, near Ascot, just a 15-minute drive from four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage which, from next week, will become their new home on the Queen's Home Park estate at Windsor.

Policeman is seen helping Just Stop Oil protest vicar take a sip of drink

Pandering police appeared to come to the aid of eco-zealots who caused chaos by blocking roads and digging tunnels near oil plants during a demo yesterday by feeding them water as they sat with their hands glued to the ground - amid mounting anger at Britain's ' woke ' forces. Around 30 anarchists from XR-affiliated Just Stop Oil disrupted morning rush hour in Grays, Essex, with 10 staging a sit-down protest on a road next to the M25 while others occupied a nearby oil terminal and others blocked access roads to the Kingsbury oil terminal in Warwickshire. Among those at the Grays protest was retired vicar Mark Coleman, 63, of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, who regularly takes part in climate change demos. He was fed water by at least one officer - even while the group's antics caused travel hell for hundreds of motorists. Though officers made more than 20 arrests, the scenes are likely to fuel fury at what critics have called the increasingly 'light touch' policing of many of Britain's forces.

Ukraine braced for fresh bloodshed amid fears Russia will attack on country's Independence

Russia is planning attacks on civilian targets today, Ukraine's Independence Day, it was claimed yesterday. The threat emerged last night in an intelligence report declassified by the US State Department. In another sickening move Russia may also use today's anniversary to start trials of Ukrainian prisoners of war - with the defendants forced to watch proceedings from cages. Pictures have emerged of huge steel cages being constructed inside Mariupol's philharmonic hall where the trials are due to be held. President Volodymyr Zelensky promised a 'powerful response' to any attacks on Ukrainian soil today.

Six months into deadly conflict in Ukraine, RICHARD PENDLEBURY returns to find grief and

RICHARD PENDLEBURY: The shattered hulks of dozens of Putin's tanks, armoured fighting vehicles and other heavy equipment stretch from block to block along Khreshchatyk, Kyiv's main boulevard; a vivid demonstration of Ukraine's surprise success in resisting the Russian invasion. We're exactly six months into Europe's most dangerous conflict since the Second World War. Winter has become spring and now high summer and tomato vines laden with fruit are growing through a fissure that runs across a collapsed highway where it traverses the Irpin River. I can guess why they are there. In early March, I had stood on that very spot, in a snowstorm, as refugees filed across the river via a makeshift wooden pontoon.

In the first episode, which premiered on Monday, the two women shared some intimate details on what it was like to have sex with the magazine publisher. They admitted that they wanted to 'get it over with as quickly as possible' and that 'none of the females were into it.' The ladies detailed sleeping with Hugh in front of other woman, who would 'talk s**t about them,' and claimed the intimate act sometimes only lasted one minute. Holly added that the women all thought of having sex with Hugh as a 'chore,' but said they had to do it out of fear that they'd be 'kicked out of the house.' Stop fit-shaming women with muscles as Nicole Kidman redefines femininity writes ANTONIA

ANTONIA HOYLE: My kit is kept in the porch, jostling for position with the dog food and children's trainers. Admittedly, its presence isn't the most elegant way of welcoming people into our home, and has an irritating habit of tripping us up en route to the freezer. But my family has been warned to move those three sets of dumbbells and chrome barbell at their peril. They know they are more integral to my middle-aged body than any amount of spinach smoothies or exfoliating scrubs, because they give me what every woman over 40 should have in her anti-ageing armoury: muscles. I've long been an enthusiastic exerciser, running since I was a teenager for the endorphins it generated. But without the strength I've recently acquired in my arms, legs and abdominals, my body would be starting to flag - the cardio I focused on for fitness in my youth now not enough to maintain it alone.

Gored to death by flaming bull: Man is fatally wounded by beast's flaming horns after it was set alight as part of cruel festival in Spain

The 24-year-old, who had travelled from Almansa to attend the festivities, was taken by ambulance to the hospital as a precaution with no immediately visible injuries. But the attack had ruptured his spleen and caused several other internal injuries, leaving medical staff with no hope of saving his life.
