Harry Kane equals Sergio Aguero’s all-time Premier League record with strike vs Chelsea

The records continue to tumble for Spurs’ star attacker

Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has, on Sunday, continued to etch his name indellibly into the history books of English football.

Hitman Kane, of course, has taken his place front and centre in the headlines once more this evening.

This comes on the back of a pulsating showdown between Antonio Conte’s Spurs, and capital rivals Chelsea.

90 minutes packed with drama, heated exchanges, red cards and four goals ultimately culminated in the spoils being shared at Stamford Bridge, amid what is becoming an increasingly tense Premier League rivalry.

It was that man Kane, though, who proved decisive when it came to the eventual result.

Deep into injury time, and with hosts Chelsea looking well on their way to a 2nd straight victory to open the campaign, Tottenham’s main man did what he does best, nodding home a whipped corner from the right to break Blues hearts:

And, as alluded to above, in the process, Kane secured for himself an altogether noteworthy piece of history.

As per statisticians Opta, the 29-year-old has now racked up 184 Premier League goals in the colours of Tottenham.

This tally marks the joint-most that any player in Premier League history has managed, whilst lining out for one club.

The only other to have reached such a mark? Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
