The bulk of the elected class of the Republican Party will do absolutely anything for power. Anything.
They’ll overturn elections if the American people voted in a way they don’t like.
They’ll try to stop American citizens from voting in the first place.
They’ll lie. Cheat.

They will change their publicly states positions from what they were six years ago. Or even three months ago.
Some of them will directly defy the Constitution. Or the law. Others will see their teammates do it and say nothing, hoping to not rock the boat.

For many of them, no principle or policy is as important to them as is keeping their positions.
They might care a little bit that they have become the opposite of everything they claimed to stand for (for those who actually came with good intentions). But not enough.

What’s worse is that these desperate folks have become absolutely convinced that they can’t have this thing which they crave more than anything, power, by simply working hard and trying to win elections the honest way. By trying to get the most votes.

They’re smart enough to know that every ethnic minority group in the country votes against them more than for them. As do whites with college degrees. And women.
And instead of crafting messages that appeal to those they’ve alienated, they instead attack the denominator.

If they can make it just a bit more onerous for certain groups of American citizens to vote, maybe more of them won’t. And then they can win.
Maybe if they can put in place people who will throw out elections which they lose, they can win.
It doesn’t matter. As long as they win

They’ve rationalized in their own mind that any means justify the ends. It doesn’t matter what moral, legal or Constitutional boundaries are violated. Because, they tell themselves, the alternative is worse.

And then they scratch their heads in bewilderment, not understanding why more people don’t want to be Christians. Like most of them say they are.

Who or what are they obligated to?
Constituents back home, as well as the country in its entirety, with a fidelity to the founding document?
OR
The entire RW Apparatus/Universe, including its "'Conservative' Angertainment Complex", & especially the Donor Overlords who own thm?

Didn't Zuckerburg pay "Zuckerbucks" to election districts and mules to harvest votes? If a guy did that with the republican party, I'd call foul. But you with these supposed values ignore. Why?

No. What happened is that Trump LOST the election. Every data point available corroborates the fact that Trump lost the election.
And my values include caring about the truth and not wasting time dealing with people who lie and spread lies.

Trump is continuing to lie about the fact that he lost the 2020 Presidential Election and a lot of Republicans believe him. And so here, again, are a series of facts which anybody can check, which corroborate the fact that Trump LOST and that he's LYING.
