To be clear. This was a BMD -ballot marking device. Used to print your choices on the ballot. It does not tabulate votes. After that is done, the voter scans the ballot into the counting machine. I’m suggesting / urging all voters to check that printed ballot before scanning it.

Further, she did report it. The poll clerk “spoiled” that ballot and issued her another. She voted each race, printed this second ballot. Double checked all of her selections and only when they were correct, did she scan (to be tabulated) her ballot.

So right. I'm old enough to remember 2000, when thousands of voters were fooled by a "butterfly ballot". Their votes were recorded for 3P candidate Buchanan when they intended to vote for Gore. Bush was certified as the winner in FL (& the country) by around 650 votes.
