Art Baker was born on January 7, 1898 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Spellbound (1945), The Farmer's Daughter (1947) and Cause for Alarm! (1951). He was previously married to Alice Baker. He died on August 26, 1966 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Screen, radio, and television actor.
Had a distinctively smooth voice, ideal for radio. His first job in the entertainment industry was as the radio host of "People Are Funny". On screen, the tall, white-haired Baker was often cast as executives, senior medical staff or politicians.
His mother operated an establishment for the poor in New York's Bowery.
Was a travelling evangelist during the 1920's, ending up in California and selling refrigerators, before becoming a tour guide at Hollywood's Forest Lawn cemetery.
