Williamstown Theatre Festival 2022

The 2022 Williamstown Theatre Festival season schedule is off and running! This year’s shorter schedule includes appearances by acclaimed Tony winner, actor, and director James Naughton, award-winning stand-up comedian Alex Edelman, a short play by actor, director, and playwright Tim Blake Nelson, and much more!

The Williamstown Theatre Festival has been bringing the finest actors, directors, designers, plays, and playwrights to the Berkshires stage since since 1955. Its training program for upcoming stage performers and producers is considered one of the nation’s very best. The festival is continually nominated for numerous awards and received a Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre in 2002.

2022 marks the return to indoor performances for Williamstown Theatre Festival but also sees a reduction in the number of shows presented each season. This year’s season, for example, presents only three shows, rather than the typical seven.

The 2022 season also includes two special concerts and the popular Fridays@3 reading series. This latter series features plays in development, read aloud by brilliant actors. The readings are immensely entertaining for audiences and a great way to develop and discover new work.

Best of all, Williamstown Theatre Festival is less than an hour away from The Inn at Stockbridge, on the Williams College campus in Williamstown, MA.
