Ronaldo tells judge: "I never had this problem in England, that's why I want to go back there"

"In England, I never had these problems, that's why I want to go back there" is what Ronaldo told the judge in Pozuelo de Alcaron on July 31st as he stood on accusations of €14.7 million tax fraud, according to SER. Dressed in a black suit, Ronaldo responded to questions from Judge Mónica Gómez Ferrer, prosecutor, the lawyer's of Baker & McKenzie's José María Alonso y Jesús Santos during the proceedings that lasted one hour and 25 minutes.
"I paid everything in 2014. I don't understand anything about this, I only went to school until my sixth year and the only thing I know how to do is play football well. When my advisors tell me, 'Cris, it's okay' then I believe them," Ronaldo assured the judges.
Ronaldo defended Jorge Mendes vehemently and said again, "I pay, I want to be honest and I always pay," before defending himself again. "I trust my advisors and they are the best. I pay them well and they do good things and I leave everything in their hands."
