Welcome! Do you wish to become a scholar and a practitioner who works with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations? Consider our APA accredited Counseling Psychology (CoPsych) specialization.

As one of the oldest accredited counseling psychology programs in the country, we have been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1959. We have a long history of producing outstanding graduates who practice in academic and applied fields all around the country and the world.

Our Masters degree training can help students to either become eligible to be licensed as a mental health practitioner or to continue with doctoral training. The Masters degree contains two tracks: community and school counseling.

Our doctoral degree is an APA approved program in Counseling Psychology that follows a scientist-practitioner training model and focuses on students’ learning through coursework, practica, doctoral research seminars, supervision, and collaboration with other students and faculty.

The Counseling Psychology program is holding a virtual “open house” for prospective students. Our open house is not part of our interview process. However, it is a chance for you to find out more about us and our program so that you can make an informed decision in choosing a program that is the best fit for you. If you would like to attend our open house, please register at tinyurl.com/59dbncjf
