Embroidered Convertible Clutch

Since I already had my embroidery machine out, I thought I would use Caroline's embroidery pattern to make another project. I have some leather that has been sitting for a while and have been wanting to use it.

Embroidered Pincushion

Recently I bought an embroidery machine because Amazon had such an amazing deal I couldn't resist. I had already bought DD an embroidery/sewing combo so didn't really need to buy another one but with an Amazon coupon and the one day deal I went for it. As it turned out, Caroline, at SewCanShe was designing some embroidery patterns and needed testers.

Mini Zip Pouch

I was able to take a day off from schoolwork to sew. It took all day because I had a design in mind for an embroidery pattern I was testing for a designer, which I will talk all about tomorrow. Be sure to check back to see what I made. Along the lines of making the original embroidery design, I wanted to make something else.

Red and White Scrap Quilt Complete

I am so happy to say that my DD's red and white scrap quilt is complete! I have so many projects that I would like to get done that I didn't want to delay finishing this quilt. I spent one night freemotion quilting this large quilt.

A New Zip Pouch

I have some projects that I've been wanting to finish but quilts take a bit longer to complete and I can only get the quilting done when I can stay home for the entire day. I can't keep the quilt on the longarm so I took the time to get my quilt blocks put together.

Infinity Scarf

I am still working on using up my small yarn stash. I have one ball of this pretty purple variegated yarn from Deborah Norville. I was going to knit a long scarf but I couldn't find anymore of this yarn at the store so I turned it into an infinity scarf. It was just the right length for it.

One Monthly Goal Finish

My OMG (one monthly goal) project was supposed to be a quick one to finish but I decided to change things up a bit as I went along. I was only going to make a couple of zipper pouches out of the fabrics that I had already cut, but then I added some vegan leather to it and as I went along and writing things down for the pattern I turned them into bags.

Flora Supply Case Finish

I have really enjoyed the Flora Supply Case sew along hosted by Jennie. It gave me a chance to use up some of my fabrics and make something that I can use. I did a crosshatch machine quilting by eyeballing my lines.

Scrap Quilting and Knitting

Happy Friday! This is going to be a very long post. I've been trying to get as much sewing and knitting time in as I can to use my stash up a bit. I buy a ball or two of yarn here and there for certain projects but didn't get to them so now to use it up I started making small projects. I knit whenever I sit down at night to watch one of my favorite shows that we DVR. This ball of yarn is supposed to be variegated but it wasn't like other variegated yarns I've bought before. The striping is quite different as you can see from the photos.

Getting Some Knitting In

As I was going through to organize my crafty things, I found full skeins of yarn for some projects I was wanting to make last year. Since this year it's all about using up stuff I didn't want to buy anymore yarn. I decided the best way to use up stuff is to make a project that only uses what I have on hand.

Knitted Scarf

A couple of weeks ago I started on this crochet infinity scarf. The yarn was from a sock project I was supposed to work on but the sock came out all funky. I ended up ripping it apart because socks are really hard for me. I'll have to do that another time. Since I didn't use this yarn for the socks, I wanted an easy project to use it up. I've made this crochet scarf before because it's a quick project to whip up.
