Noah Kahan and Gracie Abrams Team Up for New Version of Darkly Romantic 'Everywhere, Everything'

It’s a December of duets for Noah Kahan.

The singer-songwriter released a new version of his song “Everywhere, Everything” featuring Gracie Abrams on Friday, marking the latest in a series of reimagined songs off his hit album Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever).

“Gracie puts her whole heart into every song she writes and note she sings, and I found myself completely swept into her world the first time I heard her,” Kahan said in a statement. “So incredibly excited for you all to hear her incredible take on ‘Everywhere, Everything.’”

Abrams, who recently opened for Taylor Swift on select Eras Tour dates, added in a statement of her own that she was “so honored” to be joining the rising star on his latest release.

“I'm constantly in awe of the heart and sincerity behind each of his songs, and I feel crazy lucky for the opportunity to sing on one of my favorites,” she said. “Noah really is the best, and I am simply a fan.”

The two later shared a sweet exchange on their Instagram Stories, with Abrams, 24, praising the “rare” “depth of his sincerity and kindness,” and Kahan responding, “Love you dude.”

Kahan — who’s been enjoying a meteoric rise to fame since his song “Stick Season” went viral in 2022 — told PEOPLE in October that of all the songs in his catalog, he considers “Everywhere, Everything” the most romantic.

"If I were to get married to one, they're all kind of depressing undertones. There's no one that's like 'I love you.’ It's always like, 'I love you, but you're dead,' or something like that,” he quipped. "But I guess we could say 'Everywhere, Everything' if you're OK with worms and s---.’” (The song features the lines, “Want to love you ‘til we’re food for the worms to eat/’Til our fingers decompose/Keep my hand in yours.”)

His duet with Abrams follows similar new versions of his Stick Season songs, including “Northern Attitude” with Hozier, “She Calls Me Back” with Kacey Musgraves, “Call Your Mom” with Lizzy McAlpine and “Dial Drunk” with Post Malone.

Kahan, who last month celebrated his first Grammy Award nomination, is set to make his Saturday Night Live debut as the musical guest for this weekend’s episode, hosted by Emma Stone.

He’s set to kick off his We’ll All Be Here Forever World Tour next year, and will be playing sold-out arenas and headlining festivals like Shaky Knees, Osheaga and High Water.

"I did a lot of shows for not a lot of people for a long time," he told PEOPLE in 2022 of his first tour after the success of "Stick Season." "I never played for nobody, but I've played for almost nobody, and it's not a lot of fun. To have this tour sell out and to have the response I've got… it's been really surreal and I'm trying my best not to let it feel normal to me because it's not.”
