After a first round of voting in which no fewer than 10,131,295 votes were cast, the finalists for the 13th Globe Soccer Awards are now known.

Fans from all over the world have been able to choose their candidates for 11 of the 21 categories of award winners who will be crowned on November 17 at this outstanding event organized by the Dubai Council since 2010, and of which MARCA is the official newspaper.

Once the 10 candidates have been selected in the categories of Best Player and Player of the Year, Best Club in male and female categories, Best Coach, Best New Player and in the five newly created digital category awards (Best Football Esports Player, Best Sports Journalist, Best Influencer, Best Content Creator on TikTok and Best Content Creator on Youtube), the second and final round of voting will decide the winners.

How does voting work?

Voting starts on November 3 and lasts until Thursday, November 10, and the address to vote is: voting.globesoccer.com.

In addition to fans from around the world, an international jury made up of coaches, directors and presidents of leading soccer clubs will also take part.

Except for the TikTok Fans' Player of the Year Award, which will be chosen exclusively by the fans.

All winners will be announced at the Globe Soccer Gala to be held at Dubai's lavish Madinat Jumeirah resort three days before the World Cup kicks off in Doha.

The candidates

As for the voting itself, there have been no major surprises.

For the Best Player award (which has generated the most interest with more than two and a half million votes, as well as the best male club) three LaLiga Santander players like Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois and Robert Lewandowski, along with the main stars of the international scene as Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz.

In the women's category, the 10 finalists include Barcelona's Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí and Lucy Bronze.

Almost two million people have voted and Putellas was the winner of the last edition.

Real Madrid are present

In the best coach category, Carlo Ancelotti will compete with Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho and Abel Ferreira among others.

And in the new Power Horse award for Best New Player, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Gavi will be up against Jude Bellingham, Julian Alvarez, Rafael Leao and Victor Osimhen.

Real Madrid is in the running for Club of the Year in both the men's and women's categories, while Barcelona is in the women's category.

Florentino Perez is one of the five finalists for Best President, the Real Madrid Foundation is in the running for the new CNN Off the Field award, which recognizes charitable work, and Real Madrid employee Juni Calafat is one of the five candidates for best scout.

Voting also took place in the five new digital categories, with seven finalists in each.

Fabrizio Romano, Gerard Romero, Guillem Balague and Gianluca Di Marzio are the favorites in the best sports journalist category.
